About SLASPA

SLASPA was formally grouped in the latter part of 2016. In 2017 the founder members were able to put to gather an action plan and key milestones to enable the progression of SLASPA and its members through strategic partnerships and professional development.

SLASPA believes that each sector (from likes of insurance providers to the grass root technicians) of the automobile industry should yield reasonable returns and employment of professionals with high emphasis on FAIR TRADE to become exemplary citizens of Sri Lanka.

To achieve professionalism, SLASPA aims to be the link between all stake holders to develop the coherent atmosphere for fair trade and ethical and professional practice of their respective role in the industry where the service providers is the corner stone.

What We Do

S.L.A.S.P.A aims to be the largest business community in the nation, responsible for the professional up keeping of vehicles to manufacture’s specifications and in accordance with required laws and regulations, whilst assisting regulators to upgrade necessary rules and regulations on the industry.

Our Vision

SLASPA aims to become the sole representative of the automobile business community with a professional voice to uplift the standards of the industry and its many stake holders in accordance with vehicle manufacturers and in accordance with laws and regulations of the country.

Whilst prioritizing the adherence to current laws are regulations, it is also in the interest of SLASPA, that it should lead the industry towards updating the laws and regulations to meet current requirements of the industry and the modern era.

Our Mission

Build confidence in the motoring consumer and industry stakeholders through the application of FAIR TRADE AUTO.

Consolidate, communicate and regulate standards in the motor industry of Sri Lanka

Ensure the provision of technical and business skills via training that meets the demands of the industry

Introduce new industry standards and methods to reduce cost, increase revenue whilst protecting the environment.

Represent the industry sector with partnerships with government establishments, Private companies and other regulatory bodies

Maintain effective communication with all S.L.A.S.P.A members and automobile industry related organizations to effectively engage in a positive dialog to resolve friction points

Introduce a dispute resolution mechanism which in turn will protect the interest of all S.L.A.S.P.A members and all consumers alike
